What to Look For When Buying an Electric Hand Dryer

Nowadays, people are rightfully more aware of how important it is to stay clean and prevent diseases. Properly washing and drying your hands when you’re away from home is a must if you want to stay healthy and avoid spreading bacteria around - and a fantastic way to help people stay healthy is to install high-quality hand dryers in your facility.

When you smartly choose well-designed dryers to put in your building’s restrooms, your guests and staff will be encouraged to use them and stay clean, no matter how busy they are. However, not every hand dryer is built the same, and getting a low-quality one can irritate your people and cause them to not use them.

So, what do you need to look for when choosing your dryers?

The Most Important Hand Dryer Qualities That You Should Pay Attention To

There are a few vital qualities that you must pay attention to when you select your facility’s hand dryers. These factors will affect you or your guests’ comfort, so picking your dryers flippantly could lead to disappointment.

As you browse through your options, make sure you check the following things:

Energy Efficiency. It’s becoming more and more popular for businesses and facility managers to keep an eye on their fixtures’ energy efficiency, whether they want to save money or be more eco-friendly. Either way, getting energy-efficient dryers can only be a good thing.

Therefore, you should always ensure the dryers you buy are energy efficient and don’t use an inordinate amount of power. High-quality hand dryers tend to use less energy than standard dryers.

Upfront And Running Costs. Along with energy efficiency, you should always look at your dryer’s upfront and running costs. Dryers that are better than standard dryers will undoubtedly cost more initially, but their extra upfront costs are absolutely worth it. This is because high-quality dryers are built to cost less to run while offering excellent services. So, even if you have to spend a little more to purchase them, they will save you money over time if used correctly.

Or, if you only need your dryers for a temporary period and don’t want to pay full price for a limited time, you could choose to rent your hand dryers instead. These rental dryers allow you to enjoy their incredible services for a set amount of time before you need to return them. Renting your dryers before you make a final purchase can also help you truly decide which type you want.

Noise. Constant whirring noises are annoying, frustrating and headache-inducing; basically, they are not something that you want a lot of in your facility. Dryers that produce loud noises are more likely to discourage people from using them, especially if any of your guests or staff are sensitive to loud noises.

Luckily, there are excellent dryers that are designed to produce much less noise than standard hand dryers. These dryers are more pleasant and less likely to disturb people.

Maintenance. Even if your brand-new dryers work incredibly and are very energy efficient, you might not like them very much if they’re a pain to clean. In general, public restrooms should be cleaned and disinfected every day, so you don’t want your custodian to have to stress over your dryers every single day.

If you’re looking for dryers that run well and are easy to maintain, you’re in luck because most high-quality dryers are relatively easy to maintain. Their sleek, modern designs are nice to look at and easy to wipe down. Your maintenance team should have no trouble cleaning your new hand dryers every day.

Durability. Sadly, there are individuals who will mess with your appliances. You don’t want to purchase marvellous new dryers only to have them broken the day after installation.

So, you’ll need to select dryers that are built to be efficient, easy to maintain and difficult to vandalise. Most top-tier dryers are made to be difficult to break into and mess with, and their sturdy designs will discourage vandals from damaging them.
