Hand Dryers: Qualities To Look For And Top Suggestions
Hand dryers are a very common sight in well-designed New Zealand restrooms due to their convenience, efficiency and hygienic qualities. Once you start to search for hand dryers for your facility, you’ll notice something immediately - there are heaps of different models to choose from!
Selecting your ideal hand dryers out of your many options can be very challenging if you’re not sure what to look for. Fortunately, you can make your choice easier by focusing on key traits.
You’ll be able to find hand dryers that are best for your restrooms if you identify what you want and what you need from your purchase.
Why Choose Hand Dryers?
You may wonder why you should choose electronic hand dryers when it comes to hand drying options. What makes these devices a better choice when compared to other alternatives?
A few things that make hand dryers a fantastic option for any New Zealand facility are:
They’re Hygienic. An issue that some people have with hand dryers that use jets of air to dry hands is whether or not they’re a healthy choice. Do hand dryers spread disease? You’ll be happy to know that, after studies have been conducted, people have found that high-quality hand dryers do not spread infections. Please be sure to purchase a high-quality hand dryer designed with hygiene in mind.
They Don’t Produce Much Waste. Unlike paper towel dispensers, electronic hand dryers don’t produce much waste. Your restrooms won’t end up with wadded-up paper towels on the floor if you install hand dryers. These devices are great for keeping spaces neat and clean.
They’re Easy To Clean. Most well-designed hand dryers only need a daily wiping to stay clean and sanitised. Look for dryers with good designs that don’t have hard-to-clean places.
Top Qualities To Look For When Choosing Your Hand Dryers
As you know, there are heaps of different hand dryers to choose from. Which qualities should you focus on as you shop?
Think about these key factors when you look at all of your options:
Drying Speed. It’s paramount that you select great hand dryers that can efficiently dry hands very quickly. These faster dryers will encourage your guests to fully dry their hands. If your dryers take too long to get the job done, your guests may leave with damp hands.
Did you know improperly dried, still-wet hands have a higher chance of spreading bacteria than fully dry hands? Wet hands are far more likely to spread more germs, thus putting everyone in your facility at a higher risk of getting sick.
Therefore, speed is an extremely important quality to think about.
Touch-Free Sensors. Go for a dryer with sensors that sense when hands are put in the right position and ready to dry. Many different people use your facility every day, and you don’t want all of these people touching the same surface and potentially transferring bacteria.
Sensors make your area safer because they reduce the amount of physical touching.
Energy Efficiency. Choosing energy-efficient dryers is beneficial for both you and the environment. Less energy used means less of an impact on the environment and cheaper monthly running costs.
Note that while high-quality dryers may cost a bit more, you can easily make up for those higher upfront costs with what you save every month on electricity bills.
Durability. Many people will interact with your hand dryers daily, so you need to purchase a durable model that can handle routine use.
