Buyer's Guide: Choosing The Right Hand Dryer For Your Venue

You want your venue’s restrooms to be hygienic, comfortable and fitted with efficient appliances that help your guests and staff stay clean and happy. Good hand dryers are a crucial part of any modern restroom, so you may be looking to buy some fantastic new ones for your facility.

However, once you start shopping, you might have a big question in your mind: how do you know which one to pick? There are many different brands and models that you can look at; how can you possibly know which is right for you?

You can make your decision easier by pinpointing certain qualities that every dryer has. By reflecting on what you want and need, you can find the best dryer for your space.

6 Things To Look For When Selecting Your New Dryers

So, what should you look for? Consider the following qualities:

Cost. You’re managing a commercial space, so naturally, you need to pay attention to your money. Smart money management is an integral key to being successful in the business world. Therefore, you should always have a set budget before you make any purchases.

How much money can you spend on brand-new hand dryers? You should set a budget that you can afford but also allows you to get high-quality appliances that will serve you well in the long run. Always remember that price isn’t everything and to always put quality over price. A quality hand-drying fixture will cost more than a subpar one, but it’ll be far more beneficial.

You should also know that fully purchasing new dryers isn’t your only option. You can also choose to rent your dryers on a 36-month contract. For more details on this, please see our page on rental dryers to learn more.

Speed. No one wants to stand at a hand dryer for an extended period just waiting for their hands to dry. But, leaving the restroom with wet hands can promote the spread of bacteria and germs, so getting a speedy dryer is a must.

Read your potential dryer’s description to learn more about how quickly it can dry hands. Your guests will appreciate having high-speed dryers so they can hygienically dry their hands in a timely manner.

Noise. We’ve all encountered dryers that produce loud, unpleasant whirring sounds when they’re used. Some people, especially people who are sensitive to loud noises, may avoid using dryers to prevent causing this loud noise. This isn’t good because improperly dried hands are unhygienic.

How do you remedy this situation? Choose hand dryers that are designed to be quiet when they’re used. There are many modern dryers that work well while staying pleasantly quiet at the same time. These quiet dryers are ideal for spaces like schools or anywhere else where people are trying to concentrate because the noise is less likely to disrupt your guests and staff.

Energy-Use. Your guests’ satisfaction is important, but so is yours. You want a dryer that doesn’t cost a fortune to run every month, so it would be best to look for an energy-efficient dryer with relatively low running costs.

Modern, high-quality hand dryers are often designed to use a small amount of energy to be better for the environment and your wallet. Their quicker drying speeds also lend well to their energy-saving qualities because faster drying means less operating time.

These modern dryers may have a higher initial cost when compared to their lesser-quality counterparts, but they will save you plenty of money over time due to their reasonable running costs.

Durability. Another important quality to consider is durability. After all, you don’t want to purchase and install wonderful new hand dryers only for them to break down after a month or two.

Look for dryers that are made of good, strong materials and are designed to be tamper-resistant. It shouldn’t be easy for individuals to mess with or damage the dryers.

Hygiene. We all know that staying clean and healthy should always be a priority. Modern dryers are a fantastic choice because they use filters to filter out bacteria and keep your air quality and your valued guests safe and happy.

Another crucial factor of a dryer’s cleanliness is how easy it is to clean. Luckily, many high-quality dryers are designed to be easily wiped down and only take a few moments to clean fully.

Your restroom appliances should be cleaned and disinfected every day. Therefore, getting easy-to-clean fixtures is a smart choice.
